Description / Story

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

Mum, full of joy, hurried home, eager to tell AMAR that she had seen his spirit, AMIRA. Even before she entered their house, she could hear the barking of dogs.

"Innalillahi wa'inna ileyhi raji'un," Mum said when she saw BALARABA (her co-wife) holding a bowl of pepper, throwing it at TARZAN, one of the dogs. She had covered him with it, and finally, she threw it in his eyes. His cries made the other two dogs struggle as if they would break the chains binding them.

"What's your business? Aren't these my dogs? Even if I slaughter them, it's nobody's concern," BALARABA said, glaring at Mum, who stood there looking at TARZAN with pity. "May God grant you patience," Mum said as she headed to her section of the house, which was upstairs.

She headed to his room, and even before she reached it, she could hear AMAR's cries. The windows were making a loud noise, opening and closing repeatedly. Mum quickly opened the door, her heart pounding. She found him crouched, crying, hugging himself, with tears streaming down his face and blood on his chest.

Mum hurriedly closed the windows. As soon as they were shut, the bleeding stopped, and his skin began to return to normal. After about 10 minutes, he was back to normal. He looked at Mum, who was sitting on the edge of the bed, crying. He took her hand, clasped it, and started shaking his head. "Your tears break me, Mum. They make me feel hopeless, as if I won't recover," AMAR said, placing her hand on his chest. "This pounding you feel in my chest is because you're alive. If you leave this world, I won't spend another day in it. Your illness scares me. Every time the outside air touches you, you fall sick, yet you love the breeze so much," Mum said worriedly, her voice trembling as tears fell from her eyes.

"Mum, from this you can see the kind of trial Allah has destined for me. I don't feel well unless the window is open. Otherwise, I feel like I can't breathe properly."

"Please, stop opening it since it causes you problems," Mum said, stroking his head. "Okay, Mum, I will be careful. Did you see the beauty?" Mum smiled and then recounted their encounter. He felt immense joy, and Mum said she was beautiful.
