Description / Story

The room was heavy with sorrow as Aysha knelt, clutching her chest, her eyes blazing with pain and fear. Her body trembled with anguish, a deep, bitter ache piercing her heart. She looked up at her twelve-year-old son, Amaan, who stood shaking, tears streaming down his face, mirroring her own heartbreak. “Mommy, please, tell me what happened?” he cried, his voice breaking. He hadn’t seen her truly happy since his father remarried his mother’s younger co-wife, but today’s pain was different. Aysha, weak and broken, grabbed Amaan’s hand and whispered, “Your father divorced me. I’m leaving for my family’s house.” Her sobs overwhelmed her.

Amaan, shocked, demanded why his father would do this, begging to confront him. Aysha, tears falling, stopped him, insisting he stay out of it. She couldn’t bear the thought of him getting hurt. As her other children—Aysha, Jalila, and Ashman—entered, she hugged them tightly, dreading leaving them with their cruel stepmother, Ummi, who lacked any fear of God. Aysha’s life had been a series of trials since Ummi entered her marriage, turning her once-loving husband, Hameed, into a stranger. He had been her everything—her strength, pride, and shield—but now, her heart burned with the pain of his betrayal.

Aysha’s sister, Sumayya, arrived, sensing the divorce from Aysha’s packed bags. The children clung to their mother, unaware of the full story but feeling her pain. Amaan ran upstairs to find his father, but Hameed was gone. As they left, Ummi mocked Aysha, blasting music and dancing with her children, cruelly taunting her departure. Aysha, heartbroken, led her children out of the silent mansion, her body heavy with grief and pregnancy.

At her mother’s house, Aysha collapsed, sobbing to Ummah about Hameed’s betrayal. Ummah, comforting her, reminded her that life’s challenges are tests from Allah, urging patience and prayer. Aysha prayed fervently, seeking relief from her pain. Meanwhile, Hameed, unmoved, indulged in reckless behavior with Ummi and another woman, oblivious to the family he shattered. Aysha, clinging to faith, faced her uncertain future, trusting Allah’s plan for her and her children.
